Resource Geologist

Job Description

Job Title: Project / Senior Resource Geologist. Position Type: Regular Full-Time. Location: UK - Manchester, Delph, Bristol (Remote available within UK). Geosyntec offers an opportunity for a Project or Senior-level Resource Geologist to join our European Mining Group. You will lead geological modelling, resource estimation, and mineral reporting services in the mining industry while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in Europe, North America, and Australia. Though based in Manchester, Delph, or Bristol, this position can be fully remote within the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business development, proposal preparation, and client management in the mining sector.
• Conduct geological modelling, resource estimation, and reporting services.
• Perform geostatistical analysis, data validation, and quality control.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, assist in hiring and training.
• Participate in fieldwork (up to 10%) and travel (up to 20%) for project needs.

Education:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field.
• Preferred: Advanced degree in related field, Professional Affiliation (GSL, AusIMM, IMMM), and Professional Registration (CGeol).

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years (8+ preferred) in consulting, with proficiency in mineral resource estimation and reporting.
• Knowledge of international standards (NI 43-101, JORC) for QP/CP roles.
• Proficient in geological modelling/geostatistical software (Datamine, Isatis, Leapfrog).
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Required: Full UK driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
