FP&A Lead

Job Description

Job Title: FP&A Lead. Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid). The FP&A Lead at Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (OMR) will drive operating performance across business groups by modernizing & streamlining processes to deliver timely, accurate, reliable, & actionable intelligence to key decision-makers. This role involves annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, business intelligence, analytics, & management reporting to OMR leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management to develop & implement business strategies, providing financial insights.
• Lead long-range financial modeling for the global OMR business unit.
• Manage yearly budgets & monthly forecasts at each organizational level.
• Report, analyze, & provide insights on monthly variances against plans/forecasts.
• Define & track KPIs to measure business group performance.
• Forecast business growth & market activity for short- and medium-term planning.
• Identify financial risks & develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee financial systems & software implementation to improve reporting accuracy.
• Manage the finance & accounting team for OMR, aligning with company strategy.
• Conduct monthly & quarterly financial reviews & reporting processes.

Qualifications:  

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or related fields.  
• 8+ years of experience in financial or business analysis.  
• Strong financial analysis & communication skills for executive-level presentations.  
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, & project management skills.  

Desired:  

• Experience in a product & systems delivery business.  
• Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning software & advanced analytics techniques.  
• MBA or related postgraduate degree is preferred.  
• 3-5 years in the automation or robotics industry.  

Knowledge & Skills: Strong strategic planning & project management skills. Expertise in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership. Passion for change & continuous process improvement.
