Technical Account Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Technical Sales Account Manager (Aberdeen or Rosyth based). Location: Aberdeen, Scotland.  

The Sales Account Manager will engage with nominated accounts in the Eastern Hemisphere region, understand key buying influences, & build relationships to promote Oceaneering products over competitors'. The role may be based in Aberdeen or Rosyth, requiring frequent travel between these locations.  

Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders & gain an understanding of competitive landscapes, tender evaluation criteria, & opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain awareness of customer activities & report to management through reports & meetings.
• Follow Miller Heiman methodologies for sales, maintaining accurate data in CRM.
• Develop pricing strategies for tenders in coordination with the Tendering Manager & team.
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of products/services across business lines to support emerging market opportunities.
• Actively participate in bids & proposal teams, ensuring the smooth transfer of information.
• Travel extensively as required for the role, globally & domestically.
• Engage in company procedures, safety & quality initiatives, & contribute to continual improvement.
• Exhibit professionalism & apply continuous learning to enhance task outcomes.

Qualifications:

Required  

• Professionally qualified or degree-educated, or minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a similar international role.
• Proven experience in revenue & profitability generation in the Offshore/Subsea Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong networking, negotiation, & influencing skills.
• Fluent in English, both written & spoken.

Desired 

• Technical understanding of subsea distribution equipment or oil & gas exploration.
• Multi-lingual in core business languages (desirable but not essential).
