Risk and Insurance Specialist

Job Description

You’ll be part of the Insurance team, collaborating with colleagues to determine the optimal insurance coverage for our assets and interests. You’ll engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Our team, consisting primarily of independent insurance specialists, values teamwork and mutual support. We have members in the US, London, and Denmark, and we foster a collaborative and informal environment that encourages learning and development.

key responsibilities:

Managing insurance tasks across all business stages, including development, construction, operation, and decommissioning for various insurance classes.

Handling contractual risks related to insurance provisions.

Securing necessary insurances, including managing tenders, negotiations, and placements.

Overseeing insurance claims, coordinating with loss adjusters/insurers, and leading negotiations on claims settlements.

Representing our organization within the insurance community.

To excel in this role, you should:

Have substantial experience as an insurance manager, broker, advisor, claims handler, lawyer, or legal advisor, preferably in renewables.

Possess an insurance-related degree or a degree in law.

Enjoy working with and managing multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Be able to work independently while also being a team player.

Have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with numbers.

Be structured in your work approach and capable of delivering high-quality support under tight deadlines.
