Job Description
Siemens Gamesa, a leader in renewable energy, invites you to join our mission for sustainability by becoming our new Technical Sales Specialist. In this role, you will take responsibility for mechanical deliverables during the sales phase, specifically focusing on Rotor & Nacelle Assembly (RNA) for offshore direct drive turbines.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, review, and comment on customer technical requirements related to Blades, Hub, Generator, and Backend in the sales phase to ensure efficient project execution.
Participate in contract reviews and client negotiation meetings with internal and external stakeholders regarding RNA scope.
Contribute to technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies before contract signing.
Respond to technical queries and pricing requests from customers or technical sales managers regarding RNA scope.
Identify and engage appropriate internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decisions during the acquisition phase.
Collaborate effectively with internal product management and development teams.
Clearly define strategies to mitigate deviations and exclude No-Go items related to RNA scope during the review phase to minimize commercial risks.
Maintain a repository of lessons learned from each sales project.
Hand over technical sales documents and agreements to the RNA execution team, providing necessary clarifications during the initial execution phase.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
5-12 years of experience in technical sales support, bid management, or sales application engineering within the wind industry.
Experience managing multiple projects as part of technical sales activities.
Global technical sales experience, collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams.
Strong ability to lead technical discussions with customers and negotiate contracts based on optimal technical specifications.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a positive attitude, self-initiative, and ownership mindset.
