Job Description

Position: Service Technician. Location: 3050 Pegasus Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93308, USA. Employment Type: Full-time. Contract Type: Standard. Responsibilities:

• Deliver, set up, and exchange ion exchange tanks and water treatment systems at customer locations.
• Conduct water quality testing (e.g., TDS, resistivity, chlorine, hardness) and record results accurately.
• Load and unload tanks, ensure proper inventory management, and complete pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain equipment by performing tasks such as minor PVC repairs and rinsing ion exchange tanks to customer specifications.
• Follow all Veolia EHS policies while ensuring cleanliness of vehicles and customer sites.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers by addressing their needs politely and effectively.
• Be available for on-call duties as required and safeguard company assets like fleet, plant, and equipment.
• Work independently, with the ability to adapt to various environments (e.g., industrial facilities).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of handling repetitive loads up to 50 lbs. and operating tools like hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, write reports, and perform basic math operations.
• Comfortable working in diverse environments and weather conditions.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, maintenance, or plumbing fields.
• Water industry experience, including ion exchange, reverse osmosis, or membranes.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Vocational training or coursework in engineering, chemistry, or water treatment.
• Customer-focused with strong initiative and accountability.
