Battery Storage Technician

Job Description

As Battery Storage Technician, you will operate and maintain Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support energy grid stability.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on BESS equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain company tools, facilities, and ensure a safe work environment.
• Work varying schedules including scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance periods.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year technical experience or education in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow procedures independently.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• EPA certification and commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Experience with PV maintenance, SCADA systems, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical diagrams.
• Proficiency with testing equipment and MS Office.
