Electrical Engineering Intern

Job Description

Position: 2025 Electrical Engineering Intern. Location: Hanover, Maryland. Job Type: Internship. Work Type: Full-time, Onsite. Oceaneering is looking for talented Engineering Interns who are eager to apply their knowledge in real-world applications. The successful candidate will join a dynamic cross-functional team to design, develop, integrate, and test world-class solutions. You will contribute to projects that meet customer needs while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design and Schematic Capture (Altium)
• Power Budget Calculations (Excel)
• Technical Writing (Limited basis in Manuals, Etc.)
• Parts Sorting/Organization for Product Assembly
• Build and Integration Support
• Assembly Support (Engineering Liaison)
• Test Monitoring/Documentation (Reports)

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program as a rising junior or senior or a Master’s degree program
• Good communication and organizational skills
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to work full-time during defined internship period
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired:

• 3.0+ cumulative GPA
• Academic excellence and community involvement
• Familiarity with current engineering software (e.g., Altium, Matlab, LabView)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Knowledge of power distribution systems
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Experience using test equipment (e.g., Programmable loads, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters)
• Experience with PCB design
