Job Description

Job Title: Desktop Services Technician II. Job Location: Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Geosyntec, a dynamic environmental professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician, Level II, to join our Information Technology team. This role focuses on supporting secure and effective systems with a strong emphasis on customer service and IT security controls. Work from our Guelph, Ontario office with hybrid options available. Geosyntec is a global leader in engineering and consulting for environmental and infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide intermediate-to-advanced desktop support, including installation, imaging, configuration, maintenance, and repair of client technologies.
• Perform computer imaging using SCCM and create bootable USB drives.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and copiers to optimize performance.
• Support Office 365 and administer security measures to protect enterprise assets.
• Respond efficiently to incident and service requests, escalating as needed.
• Ensure customer issues are monitored, addressed, and documented effectively.
• Produce technical documentation as required and collaborate across IT teams.

Education & Licensure:  

• Associate degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Microsoft Office 365 Fundamentals (required); Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred).
• Apple certification (preferred).
• Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting for various devices and platforms.
• Proven customer service skills with experience in call support and escalation.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and travel as required.
