Job Description
Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote Yes). Position Type: Full-Time, Regular. We are seeking Geotechnical Engineers with experience in mining waste facilities (Tailings Management Facilities, TMF) to join our growing Madrid team. This role offers collaboration with multidisciplinary experts in our European, North American, and Australian offices.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to expanding our mining business throughout Europe.
- Focus on developing & reviewing TMF projects, managing tasks end-to-end to ensure quality service delivery for mining & industrial clients.
- Engage in diverse projects with geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, mining engineers, and geologists.
- Draft tenders, manage project applications, & use design software (Civil 3D, CAD, Leapfrog, Muck 3D) as needed.
- Shape the role to fit your expertise & interests, working with colleagues with 10–30 years of mining sector experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in civil, mining, or geotechnical engineering.
- Experience in mining waste or tailings engineering & familiarity with mining infrastructure from feasibility to operational documentation.
- Knowledge in soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, numerical modeling, hydrogeology, & water balance is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish & English for effective communication.
