Job Description

Job Title: Financial Controller. Location: France, Marseille. With over 170 years in the energy sector, Iberdrola is a global leader, active in multiple countries including France, Spain, the UK, and the US. The company focuses on renewable energy and aims to drive the transition towards a sustainable energy model.

As a Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance Director in France and collaborate with controllers across business sectors and the Administration and Control department in Spain. Your responsibilities will encompass financial oversight across Iberdrola France's activities.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly & Annual Closures: Prepare and participate in the monthly and annual financial closures for French subsidiaries.
• Integration of Acquisitions: Assist in integrating newly acquired subsidiary accounting into the group's ERP (SAP).
• IFRS Compliance: Analyze and identify leasing contracts per IFRS16 for inclusion in the "Real Estate" module.
• Intercompany Billing: Prepare files for monthly intercompany billing for group consolidation.
• Asset Management: Manage asset amortization plans.
• Budgeting: Participate in annual budget preparation and monthly budget tracking.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare reconciliations between IFRS and French GAAP, annual financial statements, and statutory accounts.
• Process Development: Develop and document business processes to ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bac +5 in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting/audit, preferably in an international group.
• Skills: Strong team collaboration, analytical abilities, project management, and proficiency in IFRS, SAP, and Excel.
• Languages: Bilingual in French; fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
