Job Description
Job Title: Lead Analyst - EHS. Location: Canandaigua, New York, USA. As a Lead Analyst - Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), you'll establish, monitor, & administer company-wide EHS standards to minimize risk & ensure regulatory compliance. You'll specialize in either environmental, occupational health, or safety, offering technical expertise to improve EHS processes. The role supports Avangrid OpCos in achieving high EHS performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement EHS Management System (ISO 14001 & 45001), ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, & regulations.
- Lead risk reduction strategies & collaborate with operational teams for solutions.
- Develop compliance programs for safety, industrial hygiene, & environmental procedures.
- Investigate & report on significant EHS incidents.
- Conduct facility audits for regulatory adherence.
- Manage compliance for air pollution, waste management, chemical storage, & other regulations.
- Perform statistical analysis & prepare regulatory compliance reports.
- Oversee contractors/consultants, manage project costs, & ensure compliance with environmental permits.
- Manage hazardous materials disposal & property remediation projects.
- Provide 24-hour incident response support & conduct safety training.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, **Associate's Degree** with 5+ years, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: EHS certifications (CSP, SMS, CHMM, ASP, CIH, or CUSP), OSHA 500/510 completion, experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP).
- Strong project management & problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Experience in regulatory compliance for utility industries.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically & occasionally internationally.
