Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager - Late-Stage Development. Locations: Chicago, IL | Denver, CO. The Project Manager will focus on marketing-stage development projects, overseeing commercial contracting & facilitating the transition from development to construction. Strong communication, partnership-building, & stakeholder management skills are crucial.

Responsibilities:  

• Manage commercial bid & contracting readiness for approx. 15 late-stage projects.  
• Collaborate with Development & Engineering teams to assess project risks, cost drivers, & schedules.  
• Propose solutions to manage cost & schedule risks.  
• Create & manage project schedules & cash flows.  
• Ensure construction budgets reflect project risks & opportunities.  
• Develop & manage project execution plans.  
• Lead technical negotiations for Build Transfer Agreements.  
• Support PPA negotiations & manage EPC contracts.  
• Oversee the transition from Development to Project Management.  
• Manage construction projects on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.  
• 5+ years in wind or solar project engineering, project management, or project development.  
• Experience implementing projects according to contracts.  
• Strong leadership, teamwork, & communication skills.  
• Ability to create project schedules & cash flows.  
• Ability to travel up to 25%.  
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without employer visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of contract negotiation experience, especially in wind & solar Build Transfer Agreements.  
• Project Management execution experience.  
• Construction field experience.
