Production Assistant

Job Description

Job Title: Production Assistant. Location: Souderton, PA • Indirect Manufacturing. The Production Assistant collaborates with various departments to complete daily tasks and provide team support. This role involves performing routine work across different areas as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:  

• Assist in the shipping department using hand tools, panel saws, chop saws, nail guns, and staple guns to fabricate wood components and assemble crates for packing finished products.  
• Support the receiving department by verifying incoming shipments against records for accuracy.  
• Pull, label, stage, and issue materials from stock based on pick list requirements.  
• Stock incoming materials in their designated locations.  
• Help with daily cycle counts and report inventory needs to the supervisor.  
• General building maintenance (e.g., basic plumbing, electrical, snow removal).  
• Perform manual labor for shop clean-up and moving equipment.  
• Lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds.  
• Adhere to Shop Core Behaviors regarding attendance, safety, and teamwork.  
• Load and unload delivery trucks using a forklift.  
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, and Abilities: 

• Basic math skills with the ability to convert units using a calculator.  
• Competent in data entry, data editing, and report generation using a computer.  
• Basic mechanical skills and safe operation of standard hand tools and saws.  
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and manage competing demands.  
• Good time-management and multitasking skills.  
• Ability to memorize part numbers, inventory locations, and distinguish materials.  
• Maintain forklift certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
