Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd Shift. Location: Souderton, PA. Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite. The Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently coordinating all activities required to lay out work, set up machines, and meet fabrication and customer requirements. The role emphasizes minimizing scrap, material waste, and labor while meeting or exceeding quality and schedule expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks.
• Produce parts that surpass quality standards, as determined by the Production Supervisor and Quality Inspector.
• Perform setup and operation of various machinery, including:
  • Shear, Riveter, Drill Press
  • Strippit Punch Press, Roller, Disk Sander
  • Portable Power Tools, Band Saw, Table Saw, Miter Saw
  • Hand Brake, Manual Brake Press, Mill, and Lathe
• Troubleshoot machinery problems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of related experience or training required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Preferred: Sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
• Strong math skills, including geometry and measurements.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
• Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours, lift 60 pounds, and work in heat.
