Job Description
As the DD O&M Technical Support Engineer, you will be the central point of contact for all technical requests related to our D8 wind turbine offshore fleet, covering platforms such as SGRE G4, SGRE D8, SGRE D11, and Vestas V164. The Wind Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team is dedicated to taking full control over the O&M process, minimizing downtime without compromising the asset's lifetime.
Responsibilities:
Handle technical issues via a ticketing system or Hotline, ensuring accurate assessment and resolution.
Identify potential platform issues from individual technical requests.
Coordinate regular meetings with site and asset management to prioritize technical requests.
Lead technical requests with the OEM according to the support agreement, supporting commercial managers on technical claims.
Standardize solutions and create a library of known issues and solutions.
Prepare, review, and update work packages, including alarm codes, documentation, checklists, spare parts, and tools.
Provide feedback for future projects based on lessons learned.
Create and maintain reset alarm guides and technical support documentation.
Participate in internal expert operational groups for knowledge sharing.
Your Profile:
Technical background with a qualification in electrical and/or mechanical discipline or equivalent experience (minimum of 4-5 years).
Troubleshooting experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the SGRE D8 platform is essential. Knowledge of SGRE G4, SGRE D11, and Vestas V164 is desirable.
Wind industry experience, including offshore wind farms, is desirable.
Proficiency in standard office software and portal-based systems; SAP Plant Maintenance experience is beneficial.
Proactive, high-energy, and responsible with a structured work approach.
Strong networking and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team, handle high-pressure situations, and manage time effectively.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfortable working at height and passing a compulsory medical exam (GWO training).
Location
The role is desk-based with locations in London (UK), Amsterdam (Netherlands), or Kolding/Esbjerg (Denmark). Occasional visits to wind farm sites are required.
