O&M Field Technician

Job Description

Recurrent Energy is seeking an O&M Field Technician for our Operations & Maintenance Division. The technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment for solar farms or rooftop projects. The candidate should have strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and organizational abilities to achieve project uptime and production targets, working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot daily system issues to meet uptime goals.

Understand and address production output targets.

Perform routine maintenance and identify maintenance needs.

Suggest corrective actions for potential problems.

Collaborate with the maintenance team, sub-contractors, and other groups.

Communicate across the organization to resolve plant issues.

Complete CMMS work orders and prepare procurement documents.

Diagnose and troubleshoot project systems issues (inverters, switchgear, etc.).

Provide training on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Assist in developing standard operating documents.

Support project commissioning and testing.

Attend assigned safety and environmental training.

Supervise sub-contractors.

Adhere to health and safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications:

2-5+ years of field work experience, renewable energy preferred.

NABCEP Certification is a plus.

Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical machinery.

Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Willingness to work outside normal hours for emergency services.

Good communication skills (English).

Valid driver’s license.
