Job Description
Job Title: Offshore Inspection Coordinator. Location: Offshore , Scotland. The Offshore Inspection Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all inspection activities on offshore facilities. This role involves performing visual inspections, endorsing compliance with codes of practice, and ensuring adherence to Oceaneering and client standards and legislation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as the inspection focal point offshore.
- Coordinate and manage all inspection activities.
- Perform visual inspections and provide endorsements according to Oceaneering and client codes of practice, strategies, and relevant legislation.
- Assist the line manager in delivering work scopes defined within the client contract.
- Report to the Offshore Installation Manager on inspection activities.
- Coordinate with asset personnel to implement inspection activities, including equipment scheduling and planning.
- Undertake offshore inspections as per the Oceaneering issued letter of authority.
- Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections as needed.
- Provide remedial recommendations and inspect subsequent repairs for acceptance.
- Issue inspection reports within agreed timescales using approved templates and forms.
- Review and sign acceptance of reports completed by NDT Technicians or third-party personnel.
- Issue status reports (Daily, Handover, End of Trip, Certificate of Examination).
- Supervise Oceaneering personnel and third parties offshore.
- Ensure understanding of work scope, associated risks, and completion of tasks as specified.
- Maintain logs and register updates according to Oceaneering/client procedures.
- Attend relevant meetings (morning call, planning, anomaly meetings).
- Assist with duties as directed by the Oceaneering onshore team or Client Integrity Engineer.
Qualifications:
- HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline or ONC/NVQ Level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds).
- Minimum of 10 years in plant and equipment inspection.
- ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 and/or API 510 & API 570.
- UKAS RG2 Category 3 Compatible.
- IRATA Rope Access Level 3.
- NDT Certificates in DPI, ECI, MPI, and UT 3.1 & 3.2.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, codes/standards, materials, plant operations, and processes.
This role requires a highly experienced individual with a strong background in inspection and coordination, capable of handling complex offshore operations and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
