Job Description

Job Title: QHSE Sustainability and Safety Specialist. Location: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, New York City, Newark, Providence.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the QHSE management system, ‘Way We Work’, is utilized within the Facilities Management (FM) organization.
• Identify focus areas and develop initiatives to improve Sustainability & Safety culture and performance in FM.
• Drive the annual risk review process for FM and ensure corrective actions are developed and implemented.
• Engage facility managers, staff, key suppliers, and contractors to deliver sustainability and safety training, sharing best practices and lessons learned.
• Monitor HSE legal compliance requirements in the legal register system and address areas of non-compliance or regulatory changes affecting work practices.
• Collaborate with QHSE excellence centers and departments to create and align policies, reporting standards, and training programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in occupational safety management, sustainability, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Health Safety and Environmental regulation.
• Proven expertise in Workplace Sustainability and Facility Management.
• Qualified internal or lead auditor (ISO 14001 & 45001).
• Experience in a similar role within the renewables or power generation sector.
• Strong communication skills, effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels.
