Job Description

Job Title: Materials Quality - Mechanical. Location: Gurgaon, IN. ReNew, founded in 2011, is a Nasdaq-listed global renewable energy leader with a strong presence in India. The company develops, builds, owns, and operates utility-scale wind & solar projects, offering decarbonization solutions such as clean energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, and carbon markets. Manage material quality across various renewable energy components & ensure compliance with industry standards.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Review & approve supplier documents, MQPs, type tests, and inspection reports for steel coils, module mounting structures, transmission tower structures, conductors, and robotic cleaning systems.
• Conduct inspections and testing directly or through TPIAs.
• Coordinate, plan, and conduct supplier/factory audits, product inspections, and prototype testing.
• Assess suppliers, maintain, and update the approved vendor list.
• Prepare Material Quality Plans (MQPs).
• Validate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) & drive quality improvements.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 to 16 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in auditing, documentation, and supplier assessment.
• Strong knowledge of steel specifications, IS standards, steel testing, galvanized coatings, and special-coated steels.
• Familiarity with steel sheet forming, punching, MMS manufacturing, and ICPs.
• Understanding of transmission tower types, grades, and RSJ poles.
