Senior Ecologist

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Ecologist. Location: Dublin, IRL (with opportunities in Cork, Belfast, & other locations)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure team health, safety, & well-being through proactive measures.
• Prepare high-quality, commercially astute bids for ecological services, especially in energy, defence, & water sectors.
• Organize all project phases, managing resources, budgets, & timelines to meet requirements.
• Deliver ecological consultancy & advisory services through robust check & review processes.
• Develop pragmatic solutions to complex ecological challenges.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, & stakeholders.
• Contribute to ecological chapters in environmental statements & species license applications.
• Review project deliverables to maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in planning & delivering ecological services in the UK/Ireland.
• Strong understanding of wildlife conservation & major habitats or species.
• Membership of professional institutions (e.g., CIEEM) & working towards Chartership.
• Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including relevant species licenses.
• Proactive approach to Health & Safety.
