Senior Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Technician. Location: Dublin, Ireland (Old Finglas). We are seeking a Senior Technician to join our team in Dublin. This role involves working on rotational shifts and traveling as needed. As a Senior Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent service, ensuring compliance with internal processes, UK legislation, and EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Leadership: Ensure safety onshore, in turbines, and across Wind Farms. Report incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Technical Management: Produce and manage technical and safety documentation, drive Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and deliver technical and safety Toolbox Talks.
• Technical Support: Lead technical queries, perform remote diagnostics, and supervise critical tasks to ensure first-time fixes.
• Compliance: Adhere to customer and contractual obligations, and site rules and regulations.
• Mentoring: Develop and mentor SGRE technicians, maintaining efficient service delivery timelines and assisting with planning.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous technician experience, preferably in the wind industry. Experience with contractors and customers.
• Education: Level 3 or above in electrical or mechanical fields (e.g., NVQ 3, City & Guilds, HNC) preferred but not essential.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and remote diagnostic tools is advantageous. Competency in technician roles (e.g., Maintenance, Troubleshoot).
• Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and be based on-site in Dublin.
