Sustainability Waste Advisor

Job Description

Job Title: Sustainability Waste Advisor. Location: Various (Travel-intensive role). The Sustainability Waste Advisor will conduct compliance-based waste audits and assist in waste-related projects. This role requires frequent travel and client interaction, focusing on waste audits, zero waste initiatives, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site waste audits and compliance programs, including training and bin optimization  
  • Perform approximately 3 audits per day  
  • Prepare and present waste solutions in client meetings  
  • Justify audit decisions to senior leadership in a regulatory context  
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities  
  • Manage multiple tasks, including project timelines, client requests, and training materials  
  • Research and build thought leadership on recycling and waste diversion  
  • Coordinate audit preparations, including schedules and supplies  
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote ENGIE’s brand

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field  
  • Knowledge in at least two waste specialties: Solid waste, recycling, medical waste, etc.  
  • 2+ years of waste industry experience and project management/client-facing experience  
  • Current Driver’s License and clean driving record  
  • Experience with waste compliance or healthcare industry preferred

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency with technology, large datasets, and data-driven decisions  

Strong collaboration, customer service, presentation, and project management skills  

Adaptable and skilled in conflict resolution and communication
