Water / Wastewater Manager

Job Description

Geosyntec is seeking a Water/Wastewater Design Manager to lead and develop our water and wastewater treatment design projects. This role involves interaction with design teams across locations, including Pittsburgh, and provides leadership in planning, design, and client development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relations: Maintain and build positive client relationships as the primary contact during project design phases.
• Project Management: Oversee project tasks, including design calculations, reports, and technical specifications; ensure quality and manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop engineering design staff; manage multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, and financial oversight.
• Technical Leadership: Perform QA/QC, conduct constructability reviews, and manage overall project delivery.
• Business Development: Cultivate client relationships to secure repeat business and develop new opportunities; assist with proposal preparation.

Education and Licensure:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering; Professional registration (P.E.).
• Preferred: Advanced degree in a related engineering field.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in water/wastewater consulting, including detailed design for industrial and municipal clients.
• Project Delivery: Proven experience in managing overall project delivery, including planning, financial management, and risk management.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage engineering design staff and multiple projects.
• Communication: Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Other: Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required; valid Canadian driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
