Job Description

Safety, Health & Environment Specialist III - Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Act as HSE liaison between clients, JV Team, construction contractors, & contractor’s Site Safety Officers (SSOs).
  • Develop/implement policies to ensure compliance with project health & safety requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership & functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are upheld.
  • Communicate with various agencies to promote environmental safety & health initiatives.
  • Draft & submit reports to federal, state, & local agencies.
  • Coordinate internal audits of health & safety programs.
  • Develop & conduct basic HSE training for employees.
  • Administer the HSE program on large, complex projects, including tracking/reporting HSE metrics.
  • Maintain & update Site Safety Plans & Training.
  • Ensure incidents are properly reported & investigated.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS degree + 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in ground-up or modernization healthcare construction.
  • Ability to perform site walks.
