Job Description

Job Title: Senior Ecologist. Location: Sunshine Coast, AUS

Responsibilities:

• Build an advanced ecological technical practice, supporting diverse projects to address clients' complex challenges.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver field investigations, impact assessments, and mitigation designs.
• Provide exceptional client service through risk-based strategic advice and high-quality technical reporting.
• Innovate and implement digital tools like GIS to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
• Drive strategic growth and excellence in ecological assessments and management planning for projects in transport, water security, energy, and future-fuels sectors.

Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in ecology, with a strong focus on Queensland regions (Brigalow Belt, North Queensland, SEQ Bioregions).
• Proven knowledge of fauna, flora, ecological communities, and ecosystems.
• Experience navigating State and Commonwealth environmental approval processes.
• Proficiency in GIS, remote sensing, and digital tools.
• Degree in a related field and a valid Class C driver’s license (4WD experience preferred).
