Asset Management Advisor (Renewables)

Job Description

Job Title: Asset Management Advisor (Renewables). Location: Markham, Canada. Join ENGIE as an Asset Management Advisor in Markham, where you'll manage a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets, including onshore wind, solar, & battery storage. This role involves developing commercial strategies, optimizing asset performance, & collaborating with teams to advance renewable energy adoption across North America.

Responsibilities:

• Profitability Analysis: Evaluate Profit & Loss statements, identify performance drivers, & implement strategies to maximize profitability. Develop gross margin assumptions for annual business plans, insurance planning, & forecasting.
• Contract Management: Oversee contracts, including negotiations, invoicing, & payments to ensure compliance & efficiency.
• ISO Protocol Oversight: Lead compliance with Independent System Operator (ISO) protocols & ensure accurate reporting for operational performance.
• Collaboration: Work with Operations, Finance, Legal, Trading, & Power Marketing teams to streamline processes & ensure portfolio success.
• Energy Trading Interaction: Provide risk mandates & oversee daily bidding strategies in coordination with the Trading/Energy Management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in asset management or a related role.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in power purchase agreements & operational contracts.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Exceptional project management & organizational skills.
• Passion for promoting renewable energy solutions.
