Job Description

Job Title: Associate & Senior Business Developer - Solar & Wind Projects. Location: Pune, India. As a Business Developer in the solar, wind, and hybrid projects sector, your role is to drive growth while aligning with ENGIE’s objectives in renewable energy. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful business development, procurement, and pre-development activities.

Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Lead renewable energy projects by managing business development activities, including procurement and pre-development processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain an in-depth understanding of India's business and regulatory landscape, collaborating with key stakeholders such as partners, contractors, and government agencies.
• Project Documentation: Oversee internal documentation and ensure compliance with the approval process. Present and defend projects at AMEA and Group levels.
• Strategic Analysis: Conduct strategic analyses of the ISTS network and project margins to secure necessary connectivity. Provide insights and conclusions for future project developments.
• Partner & Contractor Selection: Oversee the selection and high-level management of stakeholders (partners, contractors, off-takers, etc.) critical to project success.
• Financial Evaluation: Ensure the accurate evaluation of financial metrics for renewable energy projects, ensuring projects remain competitive.
• Reporting & Auditing: Contribute to periodic reviews, ad-hoc audits, and reporting at both AMEA and Group levels. Support the development of the annual budget (CAPEX, manpower, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (MBA is a plus).
• Experience: 6-15 years in Business Development, with a focus on renewable energy (solar, wind, hybrid projects).
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and tech-savvy.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex issues for decision-making.
  • Advanced English proficiency; Hindi is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of financial evaluation methodologies for renewable energy projects.
