Job Title: Blade Repair Technician II. Location: Windsor, CO, US
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced composite repairs on wind turbine blades using epoxy and polyester resins, wet lay-up, and vacuum bag techniques.
- Handle balsa and foam core materials, ensuring structural integrity through precision repairs.
- Operate powered hand tools safely & efficiently to complete repairs in compliance with quality standards;
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE, and work in an environment involving chemicals, epoxy, and fiberglass dust;
- Read technical drawings & processes to execute repairs accurately;
- Collaborate effectively with a team to meet production goals while maintaining safety & quality standards.
- Document repair processes and complete tasks under supervision, ensuring adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex composite repairs or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement, structural repair, and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with measuring tools, gauges, and IT tools like email & iPad applications;
- Ability to lift materials weighing up to 30 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
