Blade Service Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Prepare & Execute Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and execute preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and handle major tasks.

Breakdown Maintenance: Address repeated issues and implement corrective/preventive actions for wind turbine generators.

Technology Collaboration: Collaborate with the Technology team to propose and implement new modifications and suggestions.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools, instruments, and communication equipment, ensuring calibrated instruments are used and errors are managed during maintenance.

SAP Maintenance Management: Record all maintenance activities, breakdowns, and materials online using SAP.

Manpower Planning: Plan and allocate manpower, ensuring efficient distribution of tasks.

Process Inspection: Inspect all process lines and jobs to ensure compliance and quality.

Tool Calibration: Regularly check calibration of tools used in daily operations.

Field Readiness: Be prepared to work in adverse conditions and be on-call for field deployments.

Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 1 year of experience in Blade Repair / Inspection of WTGs.

Experience with turbines of 2MW and above preferred.

Rope access certification and experience advantageous.

Willingness to relocate and work anywhere in India.

Competencies:

Basic safety and heavy lifting equipment knowledge, ideally with formal training in heavy lifting practices and working at heights.

Basic computing skills and proficiency in online reporting systems.

Effective communication and reporting skills.

Strong coordination abilities.
