Job Title:: Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer. Location: Edmonton, AB. AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to join its Western Canada Environment team. This role involves technical project oversight, client liaison, and staff mentoring, with a focus on northern mine remediation, solid waste management, remediation, and civil design projects. The position is based in Edmonton, AB, with hybrid work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering Design:
  • Develop technical solutions for civil grading, site remediation, and solid waste management designs.
  • Supervise and direct AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and review grading designs.
  • Prepare technical letters, memorandums, reports, drawings, and detailed design packages.
  • Draft project specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates.
  • Compile regulatory submittal documents for development.
• Supervisory Duties:
  • Mentor junior and intermediate staff.
  • Manage communication with clients, co-workers, sub-contractors, and sub-consultants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in civil, municipal, environmental, or geotechnical projects.
• Proficient in technical writing for design reports and regulatory submissions.
• Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and/or NAPEG.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • P.Eng. registration in multiple jurisdictions.
  • 15+ years of technical experience in civil design, solid waste management, mine closure, or geotechnical engineering.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and regulatory frameworks.
  • Construction oversight, QA/QC, and contract administration experience.
