Construction Manager

Job Description

The Construction Manager for Energy Storage oversees onsite support for project management and engineering teams in BESS project construction. Responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies, leading meetings, reviewing schedules and progress, and providing technical input for construction issues.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Supervise construction site, contractors, and workers to uphold high quality and safety standards.

Lead site planning and review meetings for construction activities, equipment installation, and commissioning.

Review construction methods to ensure adherence to approved drawings, manuals, procedures, and codes.

Document and resolve construction issues through RFI and NCR processes.

Monitor construction progress to meet daily rates and project milestones; devise recovery plans as necessary.

Assess change order requests from subcontractors.

Coordinate schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.

Perform other assigned duties and projects.

Requirements:

Registered building practitioner.

4+ years of construction and EPC industry experience.

Experience in utility-scale renewable construction projects.

Proficiency in risk assessment and management.

Strong interpersonal, communication (oral, written, visual), negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Proven track record in executing construction projects.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Professional demeanor and conduct.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Willingness to travel and be onsite during construction.

Proficiency with MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Working Conditions: Work will primarily be in a standard office environment, involving computer work and various physical activities.
