Consultant - Environmental Due Diligence

Job Title: Senior or Principal Consultant - Environmental Due Diligence & Compliance. Location: UK (Manchester, Bristol, Delph, or remote for candidates near Greater London). Job Type: Full-Time, Remote Option Available

Geosyntec is expanding in Europe & seeking a dedicated Senior or Principal Consultant for our Environmental Management Practice. This role is ideal for someone passionate about environmental, sustainability, & health & safety in technical due diligence & regulatory compliance. The candidate will engage with clients across sectors like energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, & finance, providing insights & leading projects in contaminated land practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to clients, building long-term relationships leading to new work & expanded partnerships.
  • Lead proposal preparation, participate in proposal decisions, & contribute to winning strategies & client engagement.
  • Assemble project teams, monitor budgets, & manage resources, ensuring compliance with regulations, contract terms, & industry standards.
  • Act as a Project Director, supporting project managers by overseeing technical & business components, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, & health & safety compliance.
  • Identify & develop new competencies, with a focus on ESG, to diversify market practices.
  • Actively support company health & safety programs by enforcing relevant standards & procedures.
  • Participate in professional societies & conferences to increase firm visibility & establish individual recognition as an industry leader.
  • Manage & deliver site investigation & remediation projects as required.

Training:
This position requires OSHA health & safety, first aid, & CPR training along with medical monitoring. Geosyntec provides professional development, including seminars, webinars, & mentoring, supporting technical & business skill growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required); advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the environmental consulting sector.
  • Proven experience in business development, especially in proposal preparation.
  • Proficiency in environmental, health & safety regulatory compliance, due diligence, historical research, & assessments.
  • Experience managing complex, legally sensitive projects (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
