Country Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Country Manager – France. Location: France (with occasional travel to Brussels). Company: Flexcity (under the Veolia Group). Flexcity, a leading European energy technology company within the Veolia Group, seeks a dynamic and innovative Country Manager to lead operations in France. The role involves overseeing the P&L performance, managing a team, and influencing energy solutions across Europe. The Country Manager will also be part of the management committee, contributing to strategic decisions on a European scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Act as the primary representative of Flexcity in France, managing a team of 5 to 10 across sales, portfolio management, and technical installations.
• Strategy Development: Build and execute the vision and strategy for Flexcity in France, developing new services and driving commercial development.
• Portfolio Management: Oversee and expand the portfolio of flexible energy assets, collaborating with Transmission System & Market Operators and Veolia's energy divisions.
• Market Navigation: Navigate the demand response market and contribute to international perspectives.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and monitor the business plan, pursue revenue and margin goals, and assess financial risks.
• Market Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities aligned with Veolia’s services.
• Regulatory Engagement: Represent Flexcity in regulatory working groups and professional associations, responding to regulatory changes.
• Operational Continuity: Ensure operational continuity within France and coordinate with other country operations. Be available for on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-10 years in the energy industry (electricity or gas), with management and leadership experience.
• Languages: Native-level French and fluent English.
• Skills: Proven commercial proficiency, technical and digital curiosity, and strategic analysis capabilities.
• Desirable: Experience in Ancillary Services and a strong understanding of energy and sustainable solutions.
