Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Exploitation Analyst. Location: Suitland, Maryland. Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) specializes in marine systems, shipboard equipment, & subsea vehicles, serving both commercial & U.S. military sectors. Oceaneering Aerospace and Defense Technologies (AdTech) delivers advanced solutions for challenging environments, supporting industries such as offshore energy, defense, aerospace, & renewable energy.

Responsibilities:

• Process, analyze, & evaluate data from deep ocean navigation, remote sensors, & shipboard instrumentation.
• Conduct pre-mission support, data collection, & reporting;
• Analyze imagery from side-scan sonar, bathymetric data, video, & still photography.
• Utilize GIS-based systems & proprietary software for data processing & enhancement.
• Review mission logs to identify data inconsistencies & ensure accuracy;
• Prepare technical reports & deliver findings to clients.
• Participate in at-sea data collection missions (typically 45-60 days annually, up to 120 days).
• Support technical reviews, documentation, & program evaluations.

Qualifications:

• 5-9 years of experience in data analysis, GIS, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Math, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with GIS products (ESRI), side-scan sonar processing, & underwater imaging.
• Knowledge of AUVs, ROVs, & sonar-based navigation systems;
• Strong analytical, technical writing, & communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Ability to pass a maritime physical & complete safety training.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Oceanography, Underwater Archaeology, or a related field.
• Experience with U.S. Navy/DoD projects.
• Knowledge of SonarWiz, Hypack, & WinFrog software.
