Director of Construction, Renewable Project

Job Description

As Director of Construction, Renewable Project Management, you will lead Invenergy’s on-site construction management teams, ensuring consistent execution of project activities across our wind, solar, and storage portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and mentor construction management staff to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and scope compliance.
• Provide leadership in safety, quality, and contract compliance, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Liaise between project managers, construction teams, and senior management, providing regular updates.
• Support implementation of construction strategies to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering, procurement, and project management efforts.
• Ensure construction activities meet established standards and industry best practices.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
• 7+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
• 5+ years managing contractors and suppliers in the field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel up to 3 weeks per month within the U.S.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Experience in the power or renewable energy industries.
• Knowledge of wind and solar farm construction.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) a plus.
