Director, Renewable Project

Job Description

Job Title: Director, Renewable Project Management. Location: United States. As Director of Renewable Project Management, you'll lead a team of Project Managers overseeing multiple renewable energy projects from advanced development through to commercial operation. You'll provide technical guidance, manage construction activities, and support business development efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and provide strategic direction to Project Managers for successful project execution.
• Contract Management: Prepare, negotiate, and manage EPC Contracts.
• Permitting: Oversee and ensure all necessary construction permits are obtained.
• Construction Oversight: Monitor and manage construction activities at various sites.
• Compliance: Ensure construction activities adhere to established protocols.
• Project Review: Review site layouts, micro-siting, and civil designs.
• Coordination: Coordinate development and construction efforts with utilities and support internal project financing.

Required Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience: 10+ years in project management; 5-10 years in scope, cost, schedule, and risk management.
• Skills: Expertise in contract implementation, project scheduling (Oracle Primavera P6 or similar), leadership, and communication.
• Travel: Up to 20%.
• Work Eligibility: Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Degree: Master’s in business or engineering.
• Industry Experience: Power and renewable energy industry experience; experience with transmission or linear projects preferred.
• Field Experience: Construction experience and/or Construction Building License.
