Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Location: South Molton, Devon, UK. ENGIE is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Condate Biogas, located in South Molton, Devon. This role involves ensuring plant uptime and efficiency by managing the electrical maintenance of an anaerobic digestion facility. You will collaborate with the Plant and Maintenance Managers to ensure smooth operation of electrical components such as generators, inverters, and control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, including generators, inverters, and control systems.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance, working on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, pipework, and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues and system failures to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and proactively identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and stocktake electrical spares.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols while collaborating with the team.
- Assist with mechanical operations, including driving a telehandler when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering (e.g., apprenticeship, City & Guilds/NVQ/HNC/HND).
- Extensive electrical experience in an industrial or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Proficiency in fault finding, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics.
- Excellent IT skills for completing spreadsheets and reports.
- Full UK driving licence.
