Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Specialist. Location: Calgary, AB. AECOM Canada seeks an Electrical Specialist for a full-time position based in Calgary, AB. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a fully competent electrical engineer with minimal supervision.
• Develop advanced design procedures, software, and tools for cost-effective and high-quality technical outcomes.
• Estimate technical efforts required for projects with a clear understanding of resource allocation.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within design teams and with clients.
• Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to maintain quality standards.
• Oversee the development and execution of technical approaches with ingenuity and creativity.
• Prepare comprehensive project designs, detailed plans, and professional presentations.
• Create accurate designs, calculations, and drawings adhering to industry and client specifications.
• Determine technical objectives with autonomy and leadership.
• Mentor junior designers to maintain high professional standards within the team.
• Engage with clients directly, ensuring needs are met with professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with six years of related design or construction experience, or equivalent.

Preferred:

• 15 years of experience in electrical water and wastewater design.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 based on qualifications and location.
