Job Description
Job Title: Solar Technician. Location: USA
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair solar PV power plant electrical equipment.
- Work with AC and DC circuits (12VDC to 13.8kV), electrical switchgear, transformers, inverters, motors, and battery support systems.
- Perform preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance as scheduled.
- Use electrical test equipment (DMM, meggers, calibration tools) for diagnostics.
- Interpret electrical schematics and vendor documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and company safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 0-3 years of related experience in electrical maintenance or solar energy.
- TX Electrician’s License required.
- Experience with power plants or renewable energy systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel regionally and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques.
