Wind Power Site Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Wind Power Site(s) Area Manager - Renewable Operations. Location: Ontario West Wind Farms Region. As the Wind Power Site Area Manager, you'll oversee the operations of four wind power sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient performance. You’ll manage day-to-day activities, including operations, maintenance, fiscal responsibilities, and adherence to environmental legislation. Your role will also involve coordinating with various internal teams to optimize performance and safety measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety, compliance, and operational practices for wind power sites  
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations & company policies  
• Work with internal teams for risk management & emergency plans  
• Maintain communication with ROCC & external regulatory entities  
• Manage budgets, track variances, and provide monthly reports  
• Ensure contracts (PPAs, OEM service agreements) are followed with a focus on safety and profitability

Requirements:

• High school diploma/technical degree, with leadership and operational experience  
• 5+ years in related industries (industrial electrical, power generation, utility-scale equipment)  
• 2+ years in leadership/supervisory roles  
• Knowledge of wind power equipment, substations, and troubleshooting  
• Ability to work in confined spaces & adverse conditions, wearing PPE  
• Must travel up to 20%, with a valid driver’s license  

You'll work both indoors (70%) and outdoors (30%), exposed to various weather conditions when necessary.
