Engineer- Manufacturing III

Job Description

Position Title: Process Engineer – Solar Module Manufacturing. Job Location: SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, 602105, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Install, evaluate, & qualify new process equipment in the manufacturing line.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, including tool downtime, yield, and quality concerns, while identifying corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Drive system improvements to optimize throughput, yield, & product performance.
  • Design & execute experiments to establish manufacturing process windows.
  • Develop and implement robust solar module manufacturing processes to enhance performance cost-effectively.
  • Maintain process control plans, preventive maintenance schedules, & standard operating procedures.
  • Interface with internal teams & suppliers for process and equipment advancements.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using six-sigma & statistical problem-solving methods.
  • Train & mentor junior engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Conduct metrology setup, gauge maintenance, & statistical data analysis to support process quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of manufacturing experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in thin-film deposition processes, thermal processing, PLC controls, and vision systems.
  • Expertise in Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and FMEAs.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes & robust engineering principles.
  • Exceptional communication & problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in general electronics & mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools like DMAIC, fishbone, & 5-Why analysis.
