Job Description
Position Title: Process Engineer – Solar Module Manufacturing. Job Location: SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, 602105, IN
Responsibilities:
- Install, evaluate, & qualify new process equipment in the manufacturing line.
- Troubleshoot production issues, including tool downtime, yield, and quality concerns, while identifying corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
- Drive system improvements to optimize throughput, yield, & product performance.
- Design & execute experiments to establish manufacturing process windows.
- Develop and implement robust solar module manufacturing processes to enhance performance cost-effectively.
- Maintain process control plans, preventive maintenance schedules, & standard operating procedures.
- Interface with internal teams & suppliers for process and equipment advancements.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using six-sigma & statistical problem-solving methods.
- Train & mentor junior engineers, technicians, and operators.
- Conduct metrology setup, gauge maintenance, & statistical data analysis to support process quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of manufacturing experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Proficient in thin-film deposition processes, thermal processing, PLC controls, and vision systems.
- Expertise in Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and FMEAs.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes & robust engineering principles.
- Exceptional communication & problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in general electronics & mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with statistical tools like DMAIC, fishbone, & 5-Why analysis.
