Engineer Blade - Wind O&M

As a Blade Repair Engineer - O&M, you will handle the assessment, repair, finishing, and inspection of wind turbine blades across various models and locations. Your role involves planning and executing large-scale corrective actions, providing technical support for major breakdowns, and implementing preventive maintenance and retrofitting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Field Damage Assessment: Evaluate blade damage, plan, and execute repair methods on-site.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Technical Support: Provide support for major breakdowns, execute design changes, and implement corrective measures.
• Resource Management: Validate and maintain resources such as tools, tackles, and safety equipment. Ensure timely execution of design changes and retrofitting operations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Manage defect reports, perform failure analysis, and update maintenance and safety records in SAP.
• Travel & Supervision: Travel to various wind farms for blade repair supervision, troubleshooting, and administrative support.
• Innovation & Improvement: Develop solutions and promote quality improvements for blade-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Education: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Proven experience in wind turbine blade maintenance and repair, with a strong technical background in blade operations.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills. Ability to manage resources effectively and work with internal stakeholders.
