Engineering & Design Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Engineering & Design Manager. Location: Remote (Luxembourg, Netherlands, France, UK, Belgium). Languages Required: French and English. The Engineering & Design Manager leads a team of application and commercial engineers within Veolia's expanding Assets Service Business. This role involves overseeing the design and proposal of water treatment processes, cost modeling, and developing value propositions to enhance business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  •   Design and optimize water treatment processes for emergency and bridge solutions.
  •   Allocate fleet resources and conduct scope optimizations.
  •   Develop detailed costing sheets and address project risks.
  •   Work with sales managers to align on project requirements.
  •   Coordinate with service centers and regional teams for resource allocation and project execution.
  •   Facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  •   Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of application engineers.
  •   Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and standards.
  •   Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in water-related fields or equivalent.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and client engagement.
  • Proficiency in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Skilled in project management software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and EU (~2-4 days per month).
