Environmental Biologist - Entry Level

Job Description

Langan is seeking a Biologist to join its team in Denver, CO, focusing on wetland delineations, wildlife surveys, restoration monitoring, and environmental reporting for contaminated site assessment and remediation projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct plant and wildlife surveys for habitat assessments and special-status species.

Perform wetland delineations, jurisdictional determinations, and aquatic resource surveys following agency protocols.

Monitor biological aspects of construction projects and restoration activities.

Research regional natural resources and regulatory requirements.

Assist in developing environmental permitting packages.

Prepare comprehensive reports based on field investigations and data analysis.

Conduct stormwater monitoring and reporting.

Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, wildlife, botany, ecology, environmental science, or related field.

0-2 years of biological work experience; field experience preferred.

Knowledge of environmental regulations (NEPA, CEQA, ESA).

Familiarity with federal and state protected species.

Experience using GPS units in the field (ArcPad, Collector, Survey123) is advantageous.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
