Environmental Compliance and Strategy Manager

Job Description

As Manager on the Environmental Compliance & Strategy team, you will develop federal and/or state environmental strategies for utility-scale wind projects in Oklahoma and the Central Plains.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on environmental permitting from planning to implementation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, legal counsel, and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise environmental consultants, review reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate project environmental impacts.
  • Support project design and respond to environmental inquiries for contracting and financing.
  • Lead agency meetings and support Tribal Nation engagement.
  • Participate in industry events to achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years in energy project development.
  • Expertise in federal and state environmental laws (NEPA, ESA, CWA).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make independent decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in relevant field.
  • Experience in wind project development in Oklahoma and the Central Plains.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS and environmental spatial data interpretation.
