Environmental Geologist, Engineer or Hydrogeologist

Job Description

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer, or Hydrogeologist to join its team in Doylestown, PA, focusing on office and limited field support for investigation activities and remediation projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and support field investigations including monitoring well installation and sampling of soil, vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater.

Oversee and support complex construction projects to ensure compliance with job specifications.

Supervise operation of remediation systems.

Assist in obtaining regulatory permits for investigation and remediation activities.

Review and interpret environmental, geological, and historical records for due diligence.

Identify and implement solutions to field challenges, informing project managers of outcomes.

Lead preparation of engineering documents such as reports, specifications, and cost estimates.

Manage project budgets and schedules.

Collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and project managers.

Supervise and mentor staff engineers and interns as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology.

4+ years of experience in contaminated sites investigation, engineering feasibility studies, and remedial system design and oversight.

Experience with Phase I and II environmental site assessments.

In-depth knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, preferably NJDEP and PADEP.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Availability for overtime as required.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
