Environmental Intern

Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Intern / Co-op – Summer 2025. Location: Chicago, IL, US, 60606

Responsibilities:

• Assist in field investigations: log borings, collect samples, conduct field tests, & record data.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with job specifications.
• Identify & document solutions for field or lab problems;
• Prepare technical reports, logs, and documentation for field investigations.
• Learn & utilize data management, modeling tools, and environmental analysis software.
• Perform site reconnaissance, file reviews, & prepare reports;
• Create summary tables, figures, & maps to present laboratory data.
• Analyze soil, terrain, & hydrological data to support project designs.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and environmental tools/software.
• Excellent analytical, multitasking, and communication skills;
• Reliable transportation & a valid driver’s license;
• Team-oriented with strong independent work capabilities.
