Environmental Intern

Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Intern / Co-op - Summer 2025. Location: Miami, FL / Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing field investigations, including logging borings, collecting samples, and performing field tests.
• Monitor construction projects to ensure compliance with job specifications through various testing.
• Identify solutions to field/laboratory issues and document results accurately.
• Prepare technical reports on field investigations and analytical results.
• Utilize field forms, logs, and data tools to analyze environmental data such as soil composition, hydrological characteristics, and terrain.
• Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and produce reports as needed.
• Learn and apply data management tools and environmental modeling software.
• Perform other tasks as requested by the team.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
