Environmental Practice Leader

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Geosyntec’s expansion in Queensland, leveraging established practices in environmental auditing, land contamination assessment, hazardous ground gas management, remediation, and more.
  • Engage with and secure work from new and existing clients.
  • Direct/manage all project aspects with a focus on high-quality technical work.
  • Collaborate with Australian leaders and mentor less experienced staff.

Education and Licensure:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate qualifications, Contaminated Site Auditor accreditation, CEnvP certification.
  • Valuable: RPEng certification.

Skills, Qualifications:

  • Required: 10+ years of environmental consulting experience in contaminated land; knowledge of State and National contaminated land regulations; successful client relationship management; experience with multi-disciplinary teams; effective communication skills; valid QLD driver’s licence.
  • Preferred: 15+ years of experience, contaminated land auditing experience.
  • Visa/Work Permit: Not available; must be able to work for any Australian employer.
  • Culture: Collaborative and mentoring environment, focusing on professional growth and leadership.
